Philanthropy is a verb.

It’s essential to find creative ways to give back. At Collabry, we do this by actively looking for opportunities to give to our community through volunteer work, fundraising, charity events, and donations. 

In the first seven years of operation as Blu Pagoda, we were a business member of 1% for the Planet. Partnering with them allowed us to give significantly to many organizations focused on climate issues, water quality, catastrophe-impacted communities, and animal welfare. 

As our company grows, we seek more inclusive and diverse ways to give and redistribute wealth – including scholarships and programs that go beyond what we have done in previous years with 1% for the Planet. And while we have continued to support many non-profits focused on sustainability, we are broadening our humanitarian efforts as a business. 

We have a referral program for team members that supports a non-profit of their choice when joining us through an active team member. We also have an internal Giving Tuesday program that occurs on the last week of every month. Here, team members share their favorite  non-profit (501c3) organizations, and we match donations. We even celebrate each year a consultant is active with us by gifting donations to any charity or fundraiser of their choosing.

Now, we know there is more to giving back than just making monetary donations. At Collabry, we always aim to actively support our community, team, and other small businesses with social and altruistic activities when and where these opportunities arise.

It takes more than just wanting to do good and be good; we must genuinely act and strive to make a real difference in our neighborhood (and yours). We encourage all Collabry friends, team members, and family to take the time to discover new ways to leave a positive imprint on the world. If we all intentionally lead our daily lives with “doing good” in our hearts and minds, we’re able to collectively contribute to improving the world we all live in and share. And this is, unequivocally, one of our primary goals as a business.
